On Monday October 6, 2008 PMHS Science Teacher , Bob Borowski, was presented with the Patchogue Kiwanis Distinguished Service Award for the 2007-2008 year. Mr. Borowski is both the Key Club and the Venture Crew advisor at PMHS. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Patchogue Kiwanis. The award was given to only two people out of a possible 75. The PMHS Key club is one of the largest and most active Key Clubs in New York State. The club has had three Lietenant Governors elected from PMHS in the last three academic years. Patchogue Kiwanis sponsors the PMHS Key Club and the Venture Crew. The award was based on his total involvement as a PMHS advisor to both clubs and also as a very active Director of the Patchogue Kiwanis.

The Patchogue Kiwanis gave six scholarships last year to graduating seniors and also presented money and food gift cards to families in our area for Thanksgiving and Christmas, they donated toys for "Toys For Tots" and also helped families who were displaced by fire. The Patchogue Kiwanis club celebrated its 70th yer last year.

The PMHS community is very proud of our fine teacher. Congratulations Mr. Borowski!
